Dr. Smith grew up in Vancouver British Columbia where she developed a love for all things green, rainy and outdoors. After completing her BS in Biology at Walla Walla College in Washington state she was accepted at Loma Linda University Medical School.
Upon completing her MD Degree there, she remained for a Residency in Internal Medicine. After staying on as Chief Resident for a year, she continued her training in Dermatology Residency at Loma Linda University. Followed by a Mohs Fellowship under the training of Dr. Abel Torres at Loma Linda University. She remained on faculty for 5 years being involved in training medical students, residents and fellows, as well as research projects and close collaboration with her colleagues in Head and Neck Surgery, as well as Plastic Surgery.
After having 2 young boys, Dr. Smith and her husband Scott, decided to move back to the Pacific Northwest to raise them. Her family has since grown by one more baby boy and one great dane puppy. Weekends are spent chasing adventures on both the Kitsap and Olympic Peninsula. While days are currently filled with patient care, camping, hiking, school lunches and swim lessons, someday Dr. Smith hopes to get back to her hobbies of playing the violin, scuba diving and traveling abroad.
